In this two-part workshop, founders of the Grazing School of the West, Cole Bush and Olivia Tincani, will dig into the roots of what makes a grazier’s business different. The Grazier’s Toolbox is part of Grazing School of the West’s ongoing efforts to create practical and useful tools that every contract grazier can utilize in their day-to-day efforts of land and animal stewardship.

Graziers Tool Kit & Bilingual Herder Training Workshop
This is a one-day intensive workshop with instruction on the basics of grazing and ecology, herd health and infrastructure in Spanish. Trainers dive into the fundamentals of running a functional prescribed grazing operation, including a herder/manager business training program, specifically for native Spanish language speakers.

Ovines in the Vines Workshop
This is a one-day intensive workshop on using ILCS (Integrating Livestock in Crop Systems) as an ecological and economic approach to managing vegetation and increasing soil fertility in vineyards. Perfect for current vineyard operators who are interested in adding the benefits of grazing to their operations and for employees in the industry.
